Bridging the hardware-software chasm
I’m an engineer who loves solving complex problems that require bridging the hardware-software divide.
Professionally, I'm a systems-focused engineering leader with deep expertise in software tooling, embedded systems, real-time software, and safety-critical electronics. I specialize in architecting full-stack solutions—hardware, firmware, and organizational processes—that enable novel, high-reliability products. From leading 75-person cross-functional teams to hands-on development of ISO-compliant electronics and RTOS-based architectures, I bring rigor and agility to complex engineering environments. I’m driven by first-of-their-kind challenges, and I build the teams and systems that scale with them.
Most recently, I led software and hardware for an xEV company. Before that, I built consumer hardware and software products that drove several significant acquisitions (including one of the largest in its industry) and received numerous features and awards, including the CEA Innovators Award, Time Magazine Best of CES, and Popular Science Best of What's New.
In my spare time, I enjoy bringing together teams of volunteers to create large, beautiful, and imaginative art installations. I also enjoy sailing in warm places, snowboarding down mountains, riding my bike, and showing my son the world.
